Research Topics

Our group focuses on the design and development of advanced materials for next-generation electrochemical technologies. We work at the intersection of materials chemistry, materials electrochemistry, and materials science and technology, aiming to improve energy conversion and storage systems that are efficient, sustainable, and capable of addressing global energy challenges. The following represent the main electrochemical technologies at the core of our research focus:

  • Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs)
  • Polymer Electrolyte Fuel Cells and Electrolyzers (PEMFCs, AEMFCs, PEMWEs, AEMWEs)
  • Redox Flow Batteries (RFBs)
  • Bio-Electrochemical Systems (BES)
  • Metal Air Batteries
